Here's the card I made for my mom's 60th birthday back in January. Mostly straightforward, I stamped the cake on the white cardstock, and then also on the patterned paper, then fussy cut the patterned cake and adhered it directly over the white stamped cake. Then, I used my trusty stamp positioner to stamp a "6" and "0" on the top of the cake. I masked off the flame from a candle stamp to turn the numbers into lit candles.
Supplies
Stamps: A Muse build a cake set
Ink: VersaFine black onyx
Paper: A Muse sugar, bellini, lido, and venetian pattered lido cardstock
Misc.: Foam mounting tape, Copic markers, orange Stickles glitter glue, A Muse onyx twine
This looks just the card I made for my Dad's 65th birthday!
