Mother's Day No. 3

Three cards in three days!  This totally counts as on a roll!  I tried to use a little more purple in this one, a color that while I can't help but love (Go Dawgs!), I don't seem to craft with very often.  I've had this heather baker's cording for quite a while and finally used it!  I started with the floral spring border again.  This time, I colored it in with Copic markers for a more precise and clean look.  I also added a couple white spots on the red toadstool with a white gel pen.  Because really, that little mushroom just cried out for spots!  When coloring, first I filled in all the closed images, blooms, leaves, etc.  But, it looked a little sparse.  So to flush the image out more, I went over all the black lines that are foliage (leaves and stems too) with a pale green Copic as well.  The result made it all a lot more colorful and lush.  I used the matching die to cut it out and two little dragonflies as well.  I foam mounted all of these to the dotted background that I had already used a cloud border die on.  When it came time to add the sentiment, I tried a couple different shades of purple before settling on heather.  Then, popped the whole things up with MORE mounting tape and added the cording to the top.  The inside says "Happy Mother's Day".
