Thanksgiving No. 1

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope you all survived the DST transition!  I have to say, while no one enjoys it being dark at 4:30pm, this morning when I went for my walk it was nice that it wasn't still dark out!

Today, I've got this little circle Thanksgiving card to share.  I made it by first making a circle shaped card with a large stitched circle die, and then with a slightly smaller circle die, I cut a window in the card front.  This left just a little white circle for the card front that's just the right width for this cute little acorn stamp.  I used a sponge dauber to ink up the inside of the card and a stamp positioner to get the "Give Thanks" sentient stamped so that it was perfectly aligned in the circle shaped window.  All in all, I think it turned out well!

Halloween No. 3

Only one more day until Halloween!  Or so my six year old kept informing me at breakfast this morning.    He is most definitely ready for it!   So here's another Halloween card for you.  It's pretty straight forward, but I found that using the washi tape at the bottom of the card didn't stand out when I put it directly on the onyx petite dot cardstock.  So, I put the washi tape on a scrap of white cardstock first, and then put the whole thing onto the card base.

Supplies
Paper: A Muse onyx petite dot, melon reverse dot, blackberry, orange, and papaya, and sage cardstock

a•muse | studio November Sneak Peak Day 2

Hello hello! Or perhaps velkommen!  (Welcome in Norwegian)  Christmas is a time where growing up in a family with strong Scandinavian hertigate, specifically Danish and Norwegian, really shows for me.  Most of our Christmas decorations are heavily Nordic/Scandinavian themed.  Lots of straw, wood, and so on.  I tend to make a lot of Christmas cards with the same theme.

Today, you get a little peak of A Muse Studio's new set called "Holiday Trimmings".  It's got some great pine and holly images, some great sentiments, but also these cute little Nordic-esque snowflake!  I lined them up, using a stamp positioner, to make a festive border.  A big component of Scandinavian decor is simplicity.  Not always my strong suit, but I think I got it just right on this card.

Don't forget to check out the A Muse Studio blog for more sneak peaks and another giveaway!

Here we are again!  Previews for A Muse Studio's November collection!  There's some really cute stuff this time.  Today, I can show you a sneak peak of a new set called  "Mug Life"  It's filled with hot chocolate/coffee related images and sentiments!  I made this cute packaging for a hot chocolate single packet with it.  I wanted the whipped cream to have some texture to it, so I filled the image in with  VersaMarker and white embossed it. MMMMMMMM!  Whipped cream!

Halloween No. 2

October seems to be here!  Last night it was down to 40 degrees!  LOVE IT!  I love cold weather, and while we've had *some* rain, so far there hasn't been nearly as much as there usually is here in the PNW.  So lots of sunny crips fall days.  Perfect!

Today, I've got another cute Halloween card for you!  Once again, I used a Copic marker to make the eyes on the bats orange rather than just the white of the paper they were stamped on.  That little circle with the inverted scallops is actually the negative die cut from one of A Muse Studio's stitched windows!  The large stitched rectangle is also a bit tricky.  It's the stitched rectangle from the Tag Bundle die set, but it was a little too big from the sentiment, so I shortened it up by running it through again and trimming off the parts I didn't need.  The only catch is you have to make sure the stitch marks are all lined up!

Halloween No. 1

Fall is here!!  It's October!  I've got my Halloween decorations up and my kid has even planned to be the same thing as last year! (Astronaut!)  That makes me so on top of it.  Nevermind all the blog entries from this summer I still haven't shared yet.  So moving along, look at this cute Halloween card!  It's a small 4bar size card that goes nicely with the little die cut scalloped frame.  I added orange Copic marker to make it's eyes orange instead of white, and I think that really ties it together.

October Release Day!!

Hip hip hooray for release day!  It is the first day you can order the new October Collection stamps and their matching dies along with the new "peace" word die!  For full details, check out the A Muse Studio Blog.

Today, I have this cute little wintry snow scene card to share.  My inner zoologist always laughs at anything with penguins and polar bears in the same scene, since South Pole and North Pole.  But, they are so cute, I think I can let it slide.  I white embossed the snowflakes to make them stand out more on the pale winter sky cardstock.  It's supposed to be a La Niña year again, so hopefully in the PNW that will mean some snow again!  I am SO ready for it!  (even if my husband is bemoaning the end of summer!)

Stamps: A Muse season's tweetings
Ink: VersaMark, VersaFine onyx black, and A Muse black dye (retired)
Paper: A Muse sugar, cobalt, winter sky, and cherry petite gingham cardstock

a•muse | studio October Sneak Peak Day 3

Today's sneak peak isn't a card!  I have this fun luminary to share with you instead!

I used a popcorn box die cut shape and cut windows out of it on each side.  I stamped the domed sky image from the new "Pining for You" set and embossed it with clear embossing powder (since it's so hard to ink to dry properly on vellum, plus then it's shiny and looks neat!).  I added A Muse's new "peace" word die to the bottom and a little bit of gingham pinking border to the top and voila!

Head on over to the A Muse Studio blog for some more sneak peaks AND another giveaway today!

Supplies
Stamps: A Muse Pining for You
Ink: A Muse cobalt
Paper: A Muse cherry, cherry petite gingham, and winter sky cardstock and A Muse radiant white vellum

a•muse | studio October Sneak Peak Day 2

Welcome to Day 2!  Today's card is one of my very favorites I made with the October collection.  it's very simple, but is just so strikingly cheerful with blue houses and red/white cording.  The glittered silver stars add just the right pop of sparkly and the rooflines with the white flocking adds a little softness.  All the stamps are part of the new "Pining for You" set which I absolutely love!  It's SO cute!

Summer No. 3

After another brief break for the start of the school year and a fun weekend away with my ladies, I'm back!  Today I've got this fun fishtail banner shaped card for you.  I used a lot of tone on tone floral elements for a soft look and embellished the with the same color of glitter.  So, really it's tone on tone on tone.
