Thanksgiving Card No. 5

Today is the day after Friendsgiving for us.  Last year, our group of close friends from college, and more specifically from the University of Washington's Husky Marching Band, decided that to celebrate friends being the family you choose and since we never spend the actual holiday of Thanksgiving together that we would have our own turkey feast.  It was such a smashing success, that we decided it should be a new annual tradition.  My husband and I did the turkey, stuffing, and gravy and people brought the rest!  It was delicious and so much fun!  All our little kiddos had SUCH an exciting time playing all together.  (see down below the supplies list for a couple of pics of it)

But, I digress, so now on to the actual card.  I really enjoy making scenes for cards.  A Muse Studio has a couple fantastic sets of little houses and shops and such this year, with matching dies of course! I did a little house, a tree with nice piled up leaves, and a wreath on the door.  Now, the die for the wreath is absolutely tiny.  And thus, did not come with a hole in the middler for the wreath.  But, I REALLY wanted to be able to see the door peaking through it.  Fortunately, my screw punch's smallest circle was *just* the right size and it worked out perfectly!

The background sunset is similar to a card I made for Halloween this year, but in this case I used ink pads and sponge daubers rather than watercolors.  The inside of the card says "May the Bounty of the Season Fill Your Heart and Home".
